Financial Analyst - Logistics

Financial Analyst - Logistics

We are looking to employ a Logistics Financial Analyst for a permanent, home based position, with some occasional travel expected.

We're looking for a Financial Analyst to play a key role in supporting our Logistics function. As part of our Finance team, you'll work closely with the National Logistics Manager and wider leadership team, providing the financial analysis and commercial insight needed to improve performance and support strategic decisions across our Logistics function.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with the National Logistics Manager and leadership team, providing financial insight to support business decisions.
  • Produce meaningful financial analysis, reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to help improve operational performance.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring financial plans are accurate and aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packs, highlighting key trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support capital investment projects, including investment appraisals and payback analysis.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues across Finance and Logistics, working collaboratively to achieve business objectives.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in a financial analysis, commercial finance or business partnering role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present clear, meaningful insights.
  • Experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
