- A high input, high output variety with very high treated (104%) and untreated (76%) yields and bold grain (77.2 kg/hl) in Agrii trials in 2019. It is also the joint-highest yielding feed wheat on the UK Recommended List with Skyscraper-level yields.
- Suitable for all regions of the UK although high sterility risk areas are best avoided until more information is available. Best drilled from the last week of September and initial indications suggest that it is ideal for late-drilling, with the highest yields of any variety in official trials (110%). It performs well across all soil types with particularly good performance on lighter soils. Average second wheat performance and medium-late maturity (+3).
- It has very tall straw of average stiffness (untreated 6, treated 6) so a robust PGR programme is recommended. Its grassweed competitiveness is still being evaluated at Stow Longa.
Disease resistance shows it to have good Septoria tritici (7.4) resistance but weaker Yellow Rust (4.0) and Brown Rust (4.4) than its official ratings suggest, so these need to be monitored carefully.
- It is resistant to Orange Wheat Blossom Midge.
