- Very high yields (105%) in Agrii trials over the past three years and it remains the highest yielding wheat on the UK Recommended List. Good specific weight (76.8 kg/hl) and rated ‘medium’ for distilling but unsuitable for export. The variety represents 8% share of the seed market.
- Suitable for all regions of the UK including areas of high sterility risk. Consistent across soil types including lighter soils and very high yielding as a second wheat even though it is best grown as a first wheat. Proven to be one of the most consistent varieties over the past four years, probably due to its taller straw. Best drilled from the start of October through to the end of December.
- A high tillering variety, fast to grow away in the spring and very competitive against grassweeds. It is one of the tallest varieties but relatively weak (treated 6, untreated 4) so it requires a robust PGR programme. Medium maturity (+1).
- Agrii trials show it to have relatively poor Septoria tritici (4.6) and brown rust (3.8) but good yellow rust (8.2) ratings. Moderately susceptible to fusarium ear blight. It is resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
