|Type: Hard Feed||Pedigree: KWS Crispin x KWS Kielder|
- Highest yielding hard feed wheat in Agrii trials over the past two years (104% treated, 83% untreated) with average specific weight and similar strong yield performance in AHDB trials (104% treated, 78% untreated, 75.4 kg/hl).
- Suitable across the UK (excluding areas of high sterility risk) and all soil types including lighter soils. It can be grown either as a first or second wheat. Unsuitable for early drilling but a good late driller in Agrii trials (104% treated) but still best drilled before the end of December. Its grassweed competitiveness is still being evaluated.
- Only moderate stem stiffness (6 treated, 8 untreated) so a robust PGR programme is recommended. Late maturity (+5 days) compared with Skyfall and average sprouting resistance (6).
- Relatively good disease resistance against yellow rust (8) and Septoria tritici (6) but weak against mildew (5) and brown rust (3.4). Moderate resistance to fusarium ear blight (6.5) and resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
