Trainee Agronomist (Fruit)
We are seeking a Trainee Agronomist to join our specialist Fruit Team in the West Midlands, working with experienced agronomists who support top fruit and soft fruit growers across the region. This is a permanent role offering long-term career development, technical training, and the opportunity to progress within a market-leading business.
As a Trainee Agronomist, you’ll gain hands-on experience with fruit crops, working alongside experienced advisors to learn about crop protection, nutrition, pest and disease management, and sustainable production systems. You'll be part of a collaborative and dynamic team, delivering practical, tailored advice to fruit growers and helping them meet both commercial and environmental goals.
We are looking for someone with:
- A degree in Horticulture or a related discipline.
- Practical experience in growing or managing soft fruit and /or top fruit crops.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and communicate clearly with growers.
- A commercially minded and proactive approach to work.
- A willingness to undertake FACTS and BASIS training.
- A full UK driving licence.
