Sales Support Operations Assistant

We are now seeking a Sales & Operations Support Assistant to join our team in a varied, hands-on role supporting both our sales function and day-to-day Farm Saved Seed operations. This is a dynamic position, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, working with people, and being actively involved in operational delivery.

What you’ll do

  • Act as a first point of contact for customers, handling calls, enquiries and order support.
  • Support sales activity through quotations, order processing and accurate system updates.
  • Prepare job tickets and job packs to support daily operations within our Seed dept.
  • Support warehouse and yard activity, including supervising operators when required.
  • Operate an FLT safely and carry out manual handling as part of daily operations.
  • Monitor vehicle checks, defects, fuel requirements and system updates.
  • Manage chemical and bag stock, including counts, movement and safe decanting where required.
  • Oversee waste, skips and consumables such as PPE and workshop materials.
  • Coordinate maintenance administration including PMIs, MOTs, brake tests and documentation.
  • Manage parts and tools ordering, invoices, POs and liaison with the workshop.
  • Work closely with the Logistics team and wider site teams to support smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.

What you’ll bring

  • A valid FLT licence (or willingness to refresh/retrain).
  • Confidence communicating with customers by phone and email.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and internal systems.
  • A well-organised approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to undertake manual handling and practical, hands-on tasks.
  • Ability to supervise others when required and work calmly in a busy environment.
  • A flexible, proactive and team-focused attitude.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety and safe working practices.

This role will come with seasonal overtime requirements.
