Oswestry farmer wins iPad in Agrii prize draw

Gareth Evans, who farms his family’s upland beef and sheep farm near Llanrhaeadr, is the lucky winner of an iPad having won a competition held by Agrii at the Royal Welsh Show in 2013. Gareth said “The iPad has come in especially useful for looking up market reports and keeping up to date with market prices. I also use it to look at the carcass weights and grades of my beef and lamb, as well as keeping in touch with my agronomist.”

Agrii is one of the UK farming industry’s leading suppliers of agronomy services, technology and strategic advice. Working from its Ludlow, Knighton and Presteigne offices, Agrii’s team of specialists provides advice and support on all aspects of crop and livestock production, with a large range of animal health products being available direct from the shop at the Ludlow office. The team can also advise on grass-seed mixtures and forage crops, and assist with the production of cross compliance management plans.

Gareth’s sales rep at Agrii is Nigel Ellis, who joined the company in 2013 as Animal Health and Feed Manager, with 15 years’ experience in the animal health industry. As well as animal health, Nigel also has an in depth knowledge of feed nutrition and fertiliser nutrition. He can be contacted by emailing nigel.ellis@www.agrii.co.uk or on 07964 798161.

Agrii will be present at the Royal Welsh Show again in 2014. More than 240,000 people visited the Royal Welsh Show last year. The Show is organised by the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society, and is held at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells.

This year’s Show runs from 21-24 July, and the brand new, bigger Agrii stand will be on plot number 10, opposite the sheep shearing shed. Agrii welcomes visitors to its stand for refreshments and to find out more about the services it can offer. There will also be the chance to win an iPad again this year.
