Variety Positioning
-
Matrix CL was a game-changer when it was introduced in 2022 and soon became the go-to variety for many growers.
-
While the Clearfield system accounts for only about 4% of the market it remains and important tool to control difficult cruciferous weeds.
-
It produces consistently high yields (99% treated, 84% untreated, 45.9% oil). It comes with TuYV and pod shatter resistance, which all contribute to its performance.
-
Its best performance is in the East and West region, which is the main market for this technology.
-
Suitable for all soil types.
-
Medium height (151 cm), moderately stiff (7) average lodging risk (RL 8; Agrii 5) and early maturity (RL 6; Agrii 8).
-
Like most Clearfield varieties it has an average light leaf spot (RL 5; Agrii 4), average phoma/canker resistance (RL 6) and susceptible Verticillium stem stripe.
