Variety Positioning

Cromputer was a new addition to the AHDB Recommended List last year with very similar yields and agronomic profile the now market leader, Crusoe.

They are both significantly higher gross output compared with Crome and Cromputer has the benefit of slightly higher oil content.

The yield potential is higher due to its improved vigour, disease profile and TuVY resistance.

It has performed well in Agrii trials (100% treated, 84% untreated) and delivers a high oil content (45.9%).

It has a reasonably fast speed of development in both the autumn (8) and the spring (6) similar to that of Crusoe.

Relatively short canopy (155 cm) that is stiff (RL 8; Agrii 6).

It shows and medium maturity (5).

Good light leaf spot resistance (RL 6; Agrii 4), and much improved phoma/stem canker resistance (RL 5; Agrii 7) and moderately resistant to Verticillium stem stripe.

It does not carry the pod shatter resistance trait.
