Variety Positioning
- Continues to meet the requirements of the feed barley grower with its combination of high grain yield (98%), good all-round disease resistance and good grain quality (69.1 kg /hl).
- Grown mainly in the West, it performs best on heavier soils and it is the only 2-row feed that is suitable for early-September drilling.
- Reasonably competitive against grassweeds.
- Tall (99 cm treated, 96 cm, untreated) but stiff straw (8) and medium maturity.
- Reasonable resistance to mildew (6) (6) and net blotch (5) (6) and Rhynchosporium (6) (5) but susceptible to brown rust (6) (3).
- Resistant to barley yellow mosaic virus.
