Variety Positioning

  • Consistently high yielding in Agrii trials over the past three years (101%) with the highest untreated yield of any variety tested (90%). A Group 2 bread and provisional export wheat that has also attracted interest as a feed wheat, due to its outstanding Septoria resistance, stiff straw and bold grain (76.0 kg/hl).
  • Suitable for all regions of the UK except areas of high sterility risk. Consistent across soil types with good performance on lighter soils. A fast-developing variety best drilled from the last week of September through to the end of December but it can be drilled to the end of January, where necessary. Average second wheat performance and average competitiveness against grassweeds.
  • Tall straw with average stiffness (6 untreated, 6 treated) and early maturity (-1).
  • Excellent disease resistance in Agrii trials for Septoria tritici (7.4), Yellow Rust (8.4) and Brown Rust (6.4). The juvenile stage of Yellow Rust may be seen before GS32 and Eyespot will need attention in a second wheat situation. Monitor and spray as appropriate for Orange Wheat Blossom Midge.
