|Type: 6-row Feed||Hybrid Barley|
- A feed-type with a very high treated (106%) and an average untreated (73%) yield and high specific weight (66.8 kg/hl) in Agrii trials in 2019. It also showed the lowest screening losses of any six-row type in official trials. Ideal for use on lower potential sites, lighter soils, situations where grassweeds are a problem and increasingly used for Anaerobic Digestion.
- Very stable performance across all regions and soil types. Best drilled from late September through to mid-October. While very competitive against grassweeds, Agrii trials at Stow Longa suggest that it should be used to maintain already low weed populations. The reason for this is simply that the drilling date cannot be reliably delayed beyond October without risking yield loss.
- Slightly shorter than Bazooka but Agrii trials show it to be more prone to lodging even when treated with a robust PGR programme. Official trials suggest it has early maturity (-1) but this is still being evaluated. Good disease resistance with Mildew and Net Blotch but relatively weak on Brown Rust and Rhynchosporium is still being assessed in Agrii trials.
- Resistant to Barley Yellow Mosaic Virus.
