Variety Positioning
- Sits near the top of the UK Recommended List and one of the highest gross output hybrids available. It has performed well in Agrii trials over the past two years with high yields (109% treated, 97% untreated) and high oil content (44.4%).
- There is no doubt that the trait conferring resistance to Turnip Yellows Virus is delivering a significant lift in yield of about 7%. Suitable for all soils and regions of the UK, indeed, it was the highest yielding variety in Scotland in 2019. Ideal for later drilling with a very fast speed of development in the autumn (8) and relatively early to grow away in the spring (8). The new N-Flex trait delivers improved nitrogen-use efficiency especially in situations where nitrogen is limiting.
- Average height (139 cm) with stiff canopy (7) and excellent lodging resistance (8). Disease resistance includes a robust light leaf spot rating (6) and RLM7 stem canker resistance (8, AHDB). It has average tolerance to Verticillium wilt (6) in terms of visible symptoms but continues to deliver consistently in spite of the disease, which may be attributed to the combination of the good pod shatter resistance trait and mid-maturity (5).
