Variety Positioning
- New added to the UK Recommended List it is one of the highest gross output hybrids available. It has been tested by Agrii over the past two years and showed very high gross output (110%), high untreated yields (102) and a high oil content (45.4%). There is no doubt that the trait conferring resistance to Turnip Yellows Virus is delivering a significant lift in yield of about 5%.
- Suitable for all soils and regions of the UK, indeed, it was the highest yielding variety in Scotland in 2019. Ideal for later drilling with a very fast speed of development in the autumn and one of the very earliest varieties to grow away in the spring. Agrii’s trials in spring 2019 showed that this early vigorous growth can mitigate against the effects of severe larval infestation.
- Relatively tall (161 cm) with excellent lodging resistance (8), early to flower (7) and mature (6). It also has the pod shatter resistance trait.
- Excellent disease profiles including a robust Light Leaf Spot rating (7) and RLM7 Stem Canker resistance (8). Consistent performance across sites suggests that it is tolerant to Verticillium Wilt but this still needs to be verified.
