Variety Positioning
-
Introduced last year and limited only by seed supply, this is the likely successor of Crome which has been the mainstay of the clubroot area nationally.
 -
Very high yields (104% treated, 99% untreated) and high oils (46.2%) put it 12% ahead of Crome.
 -
Progress on yield has been achieved through improved vigour, disease resistance and the adoption of TuVY genetics.
 -
It has a reasonable speed of development in the autumn (8) and grows away quickly in the spring (7.4).
 -
Average height (157 cm), with a stiff canopy (8) (7) and early maturity (5) (8).
 -
Much improved light leaf spot resistance (6) (5), phoma/stem canker (7) (8) and moderately resistant to Verticillium stem stripe.
 -
It does not carry the pod shatter resistance trait.
