✚ The latest Group 1 wheat under evaluation by UK millers
✚ Improved disease resistance compared with existing Group 1 varieties

Variety Positioning

• Introduced last year and now fully approved by UKFM. It yields around the same level as the established Group 1 varieties (96%
  treated, 82% untreated) but it shows significant agronomic benefits.

• Good grain quality with HFN of 299s, specific weight of 79.8 kg/hl and reasonable protein of 12.8% in AHDB trials. Agrii trials showed protein accumulation is at the Skyfall-level.

• It is not approved for export under ukp.

• Best drilled as a first wheat but it is unsuitable for early drilling or areas of high sterility risk. It is a slightly taller variety (90 cm) but its straw strength is acceptable (7) (8) treated and (8) (7) untreated.

• It can be safely drilled up until the end of January but its best performance is before the end of the December. It has medium maturity (+1) (+1).

• Reasonable disease ratings for mildew (7) (7.5), yellow rust (6) (6) and average for Septoria tritici (6) (5) and brown rust (6) (5).
• Resistance to eyespot is low (3.6) and very susceptible to
  stem base diseases.
• Not resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
