Variety Positioning

• A new addition to the UK Recommended List last year in the soft feed category.

• High yields in AHDB trials (103% treated, 82% untreated) and Agrii trials over the past two years (105% treated, 72% treated).

• Outstanding performance in the north (109% treated) and rated ‘Medium’ for distilling which is important for this region.

• Average physical grain quality (76.4.0 kg/hl) and HFN (247s).  

• Suitable for all soil types including very light soils.

• Second wheat performance is good in trials although it is susceptible to eyespot (4.5) and other stem base diseases.

• In spite of having Graham in its parentage it is less suited to early drilling largely due to its moderate disease resistance. However it is well suited to later drilling with strong yield performance through to the end of January.  

• Moderately tall (89 cm) and reasonably (RL 7; Agrii 7) and slightly later to mature (+2).

  It has strong Septoria tritici resistance (RL 7; Agrii 7), good mildew (RL 5; Agrii 5), average yellow rust (RL 7; Agrii 6) but very weak against brown rust (RL 4; Agrii 3).  

• Resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
