✚ High yielding feed wheat with good physical grain quality

Variety Positioning

• Introduced on to the UK Recommended List 2024, it was set to become the likely successor of KWS Dawsum with promising high yields (103% treated, 78% untreated) and bold grain (78.3 kg/hl).

• However, changes in yellow rust resistance in 2025 together with an existing weakness against brown rust have changed the trajectory of this variety in terms of market share.

• Suitable for drilling across the UK but is best grown as a first wheat and on heavier soils.  

• It has a wide drilling window from mid-September through to the end of January.  

• A high tillering variety that is of moderate height (90 cm) and reasonably stiff straw both treated (RL 7; Agrii 7) and untreated (RL 8; Agrii 6).

• It shows average competitiveness against grassweeds and mid-late maturity (RL +2; Agrii +3).

• A modest set of disease scores at best with mildew (RL 5; Agrii 4), yellow rust (RL 4; Agrii 3), Septoria tritici (RL 6; Agrii 6) and brown rust (RL 5; Agrii 3).  

• Moderately resistant to fusarium ear blight (6) and eyespot (6) but moderately susceptible to stem-base diseases.

• Resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
