✚ A potential Group 1 wheat with excellent agronomic profile

Variety Positioning

• KWS Vibe is a new addition to the UK Recommended List.

• It has a good combination of yield (98% treated, 89% untreated) and disease resistance.

• It has excellent grain quality with high Hagberg Falling Number (HFN) (283 seconds), specific weight (79.1 kg/hl) and protein content (13.2%), the latter confirmed in Agrii’s dedicated milling wheat trials last year.

• It is fully approved by UKFM for Uk milling but it is unsuitable for export as ukp.

• It is suitable for all soils and regions of the UK. It has a relatively slow speed of development with potential for early drilling and good eyespot resistance (7).

• However, second wheat results suggest that it is still best grown as
  a first wheat until more information is available.

• It has medium height (88 cm) and relatively stiff straw (7.9 treated, 7.7 untreated) and medium maturity (+1).

• It has good all round disease resistance with mildew (7), yellow rust (8) (8), and Septoria (6.6) (6.9) but its brown rust resistance in Agrii trials is weaker than official ratings suggest (6.4) (5.6).

• Agrii trials also suggest that it has moderate resistance to the stem-base disease complex.

• Not resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
