Variety Positioning

• A non-Recommended List variety that has grown in popularity over the past four five years.

• This hard feed variety continues to perform strongly in Agrii trials with consistently high yields (105% treated, 89% untreated).

• Grain quality is average with specific weight 76.0 kg/hl.

• Suitable across the UK excluding areas of high sterility risk and attracting particular interest in the West due to its excellent Septoria tritici resistance.

• Unsuitable for early drilling and it should be drilled in the main drilling window up until the end of October.

• Suitable for all soil types including light land but best grown as a first wheat.

• Relatively tall (94 cm) with average stem stiffness (6 treated, 5 untreated), so it requires a robust PGR programme.

• Average competitiveness against grass-weeds and late to mature (+5). 

  A good set of disease scores with mildew (6) yellow rust (6), brown rust (5) and Septoria tritici (7).

• It appears to be susceptible to fusarium ear blight and stem base diseases.  

• It is not resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
