SY Arrow

A new high yielding dual-purpose variety from Syngenta with limited seed available this year for Scottish growers to try. 

• Two years away from full commercial MBC approval.
• SY Arrow has delivered very high yields in Agrii trials over the past two years (Scotland 101% treated, 90% untreated).  
• It has an average specific weight (67.7 kg/hl) and low screening losses in official trials.
• It has generally good straw characteristics with moderate heght (74 cm), good lodging resistance (7 untreated), low brackling (RL 7, Agrii 7) and medium maturity similar to that of Laureate.
• Relatively high untreated yields in Agrii trials (90%) reflect the good all-round disease resistance, with mildew (8), brown rust (RL 5, Agrii 6) and Rhynchosporium (RL 7, Agrii 6) and moderately resistant to net blotch (8).
