Diviner Spring Barley
A very high yielding feed spring barley that was formally under test by MBC for distilling but retains value as a high yielding feed barley.
- Diviner is a feed variety that offers high yields and good agronomic characteristics.
- It has been tested for three years in Agrii’s trials in Scotland where it gave similar yields (103% treated, 87% untreated).
- It is relatively short (687cm) with very stiff straw (7 treated, 7 untreated) and has excellent resistance to brackling (7, 8).
- It has medium maturity similar to Laureate.
- It has reasonable disease resistance with mildew (8) and brown rust (5, 5), slightly weaker against Rhynchosporium (5, 4) but moderately resistant to net blotch (6).
