On 7 May 2025, Agrii’s Environmental Farming Consultant Marek Nowakowski was invited to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace, recognising his long-standing contribution to the English countryside.

Marek, who has spent decades championing wildlife-friendly farming and sustainable practices, was joined by his wife Babs for the event.

The day began at 3:00pm, with guests given time to explore the palace’s private gardens - around 40 acres of carefully managed landscape, not usually open to the public.

At 4:00pm, the King, Queen and other members of the Royal Family joined the event, meeting and speaking with guests. Marek noted the formality of the afternoon was softened by warm conversations and the atmosphere of celebration.

Later, guests were treated to tea, sandwiches (with the crusts cut off!), and cakes in a marquee - all part of the long-standing tradition of royal garden parties. The royal party returned to the palace at 5:15pm, and guests departed shortly after.

Reflecting on the day, Marek said it was “an interesting and very special experience.”
