Variety Positioning

• KWS Tardis remains the market leading variety in the UK, at least for the time being.

• It has produced consistently high yields in Agrii trials (100% treated, 85% untreated) over the past three years with an average specific weight (70.1 kg/hl).

• Suitable for all regions and soils with particularly strong performance on heavy soils (106%) in official trials.

• Relatively tall straw (85 cm treated, 97 cm untreated), stiff straw (8 treated, 8 untreated) and good brackling resistance (6).

• Like most 2-row varieties, KWS Tardis has shown relatively poor grass weed competitiveness in Stow Longa trials. Medium-early maturity (0).

• Average disease resistance against mildew (5) (4), Rhynchosporium (6) (7), net blotch (6) (6) and brown rust (6) (4).

• Resistant to barley yellow mosaic virus.
