The Trials Officer (Fruit & Arable) is a newly created position within Agrii’s R&D department, primarily supporting the development of our Fruit Trials capability.
Assisting the Fruit Trials Co-ordinator with all aspects of the wide-ranging programme of R&D, primarily knapsack spraying, crop maintenance, pest and disease monitoring and detailed assessing, the ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a good communicator and capable of following detailed work plans with precision and good record keeping. Some experience of horticultural or agricultural trials would be an advantage with a PA9 qualification a distinct advantage, although training can be provided.
As with all Agrii roles, relevant training will be provided for the role. The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, able to work independently and must be comfortable with tasks that vary regularly both with indoor and outdoor operations, in various weather conditions on trial-sites / fields. This will be either alone or with colleagues, and will require an amount of manual labour and travelling between trials locations, therefore a full driving licence is essential.
A competitive salary (depending on experience) and benefits package including a company car will be offered.
