Soil & Water Day Provides Topical

More than 70 farmers and agronomists took the opportunity of another washout day for fieldwork to explore highly topical aspects of seedbed management at the second Soil and Water Management Centre event at the Lincolnshire showground.
The day – organised by the developing national centre at Harper Adams pioneered by Agrii with other leading agricultural businesses – examined compaction, weed management, organic matter and cover cropping, amongst other subjects.
Informative presentations by a number of experts were followed by hands-on discussion sessions led by farmers and advisers examining practical opportunities for management improvement.
