- The highest yielding wheat variety in Agrii’s trials over the past three years but with average untreated yields and grain size.
- Suitable for all regions except Scotland and shows good performance across all soil types especially lighter land. A relatively fast developing type that is suited to the main drilling window but it does not perform well when drilled late. Medium tillering capacity and reasonable black-grass competitiveness. Medium height and moderately stiff in 2017.
However, high lodging levels were seen in the two previous years so it is best to plan for a robust PGR programme and also avoid fertile sites. Medium-early it its maturity (0) but it appears to be relatively susceptible to sprouting and Fusarium ear blight so it is important to harvest it as a priority.
- Good all round disease resistance including Septoria tritici (5.7) but a weakness on Brown Rust (4.7). Moderate resistance to Eyespot but appears to deliver good second wheat yields.
- Not resistance to Orange Wheat Blossom Midge.
