Variety Positioning

  • High treated (101%) and untreated (78%) yields in Agrii trials. It is worth consideration even though it didn’t make it on to the UK Recommended List. It has an average specific weight (75.8 kg/hl, AHDB).
  • Suitable for all regions including areas of high sterility risk. It can be grown across a range of soil types. It is best grown from early October through to the end of December. It performs well as a second wheat and shows average competitiveness against blackgrass.
  • With average straw strength (6 untreated, 7 treated) a routine PGR programme is recommended, especially in more fertile situations. Relatively late maturity (+5).
  • Disease resistance is good for yellow rust (7.5) and Septoria tritici (5.7) but mildew (5.1) and brown rust (4.5) need watching carefully. It is resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
