Variety Positioning

  • High treated (101%) and untreated (82%) yields with an average specific weight (74.4 kg/hl) in Agrii trials. It is worth consideration even though it didn’t make it on to the UK Recommended List.
  • Suitable for all regions except areas of high sterility risk until more information is available. It can be grown across a range of soil types. It is best grown from early October through to the end of the month as its late drill performance hasn’t been fully evaluated. It performs well as a second wheat.
  • Its competitiveness against Blackgrass is still under evaluation so best grown in lower pressure situations or drilled later until further information is available.
With average straw strength (6 untreated, 6 treated) a routine PGR programme is recommended, especially in more fertile situations. Medium-late maturity (+3).
  • Disease resistance is good for Yellow Rust (7.5) and Septoria tritici (5.8) but Mildew (4.9) and, like many other varieties, Brown Rust (4.4) needs watching carefully.
It is resistant to Orange Wheat Blossom Midge.
