Variety Positioning

Consistently high yields in Agrii trials over the past three years
(98% treated, 88% untreated) with good grain quality HFN 232, 78.2 kg/hl it is accepted for the domestic biscuit market, rated ‘medium’ for
distilling but is not accepted for uks export.

• Its best performance is in the East and West regions, in both official and Agrii trials, and its performance drops off a little further north (97% treated).
• Performs well as a second wheat and, whilst yielding across soil types, its real home is on medium to heavy land.
• Unsuitable for early drilling but it has performed well in late drilled trials up until the end of January. Medium-long straw but good strength treated (9) (7) and is very competitive against grassweeds.
• Medium maturity (+1) (0) and average resistance to sprouting (6).
• Disease ratings are good, yellow rust (8.5) (7.2), brown rust very good (7.6) (6.8) and Septoria tritici (6.2) (5.5), but mildew will need watching (4).
• Average resistance to eyespot (5) and moderately resistant to fusarium ear blight (6.4).
• Resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
