- New from KWS, Hunivers is the highest gross output hybrid candidate on the Recommended List for the E&W Region. KWS have achieved a significant market share with their conventional oilseed rape varieties and they have now turned their attention to hybrid varieties.
- Hunivers is being tested for the first time by Agrii this autumn and results to-date suggest that it is a slower developing type and, therefore, more suited to early drilling. It has a very stiff canopy but it is very tall. Suitable for all soil types except very fertile
situations where it could get too big. A robust PGR is recommended to regulate its bulk.
- With a similar growth habit and good all round disease resistance it is ideal for those growers looking for a possible successor for Alizze.
- There is no information on it Verticillium wilt resistance at this stage.
