|Type: Group 3, Biscuit and Export||Pedigree: Cougar x KWS Rowan|
- The highest treated (101%) and untreated (83%) yields for a biscuit wheat in Agrii trials but lower specific weight (73.7 kg/hl). Fully recommended for domestic markets and provisional uks for export but it is unsuitable for distilling.
- More suited to England and Wales with its performance dropping off further North. Consistent across soil types and suitable for lighter land. Best grown as a first wheat as its second wheat performance has been poor. Relatively fast speed of development and it can be drilled successfully from the last week of September through to the end of December and beyond. It has average competitiveness against grassweeds.
- It has relatively short, stiff straw (7 untreated, 8 treated) and medium maturity (0), based on Agrii results. Disease resistance is reasonably good against Septoria tritici (5.8) and Yellow Rust (7.6) but it shows a weakness to Brown Rust (3.0) and Fusarium
Ear Blight. It is resistant to Orange Wheat Blossom Midge.
