- A distilling variety with uks approval export wheat with excellent physical grain characteristics. Tested by Agrii for the first time in 2017 and identified as ideal for growing in the North. Also suitable for soft feed and uks export areas but its weakness on Septoria will limit interest in the West. Elation has the same parentage as Elicit.
- Suitable for all soil types with very good performance on lighter soils. Relatively fast seed of development so it suits the main drilling window and officials results suggest that it is also suitable for late drilling. Short, stiff and results from Stow Longa suggest that it is very competitive against grass weeds. Slightly later to mature in Agrii’s trials (+2) than the official rating. Suitable as a second wheat but its weakness to Eyespot needs to be taken into account.
- Good resistance to Mildew and Yellow Rust but weak on Septoria tritici (3.7) and Brown Rust (4.8) and evidence to suggest that it is moderately susceptible to Fusarium ear blight.
- It is resistant to Orange Wheat Blossom Midge.
