Competition Terms & Conditions

  1. The Agrii Rural Community Champions competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man
  2. “Entrants” are defined as the persons nominated (“Nominees”) for the Rural Community Champions Competition.
  3. A person who enters a Nominee is defined as a ‘Nominator’
  4. All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  5. Nominators may not submit multiple entries for the same Nominee, but can submit any number of entries for different Nominees.
  6. The same Nominees may be submitted by multiple Nominators.
  7. Both Nominators and Nominees must live in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
  8. Entries will only be accepted in electronic form, via the competition webpage which can be reached from agrii.co.uk. We regret we are unable to accept postal entries.
  9. All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date of 5pm, Thursday 30th April 2015.
  10. Nominators must have obtained the permission of the parents/guardian of any Nominees who are under 16 years of age at the time of the competition closing date.
  11. Twenty local winners will be selected from all valid entries. Each local winner will receive a certificate and cheque for £50. These local winners will be chosen by the Agrii Marketing Team, in conjunction with Agrii Regional Managers.
  12. Three regional finalists will be selected from the twenty local winners. These finalists will be chosen by a panel including charity representatives, Agrii personnel and independent community representatives (if possible).
  13. The overall winner will be decided by Agrii customers at Agrii summer events, using a voting system. In the event of a tie of votes for the overall winner, Agrii will have the deciding vote.
  14. The overall competition winner will receive a cheque for £1000 and the two runners-up will each receive a cheque for £500.
  15. Prize money is to be spent on Nominees’ local community project for which they were nominated. If this is not possible because the winners are not part of a project specifically, then the prizes may be spent as they wish by the individuals.
  16. The prizes as described are available on the date of publication. All prizes are non-transferable and there are no alternatives.
  17. The local winners, regional finalists, overall winner and Nominators may be required to take part in publicity.
  18. If any Nominator, local winner, regional finalist or overall winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, Agrii reserves the right to either offer the prize to a runner-up or to re-offer the prize in any future competition.
  19. Agrii accepts no responsibility for entries lost, damaged, delayed or corrupted files. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
  20. Agrii reserves the right to cancel this competition or alter any of the rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
