Specialist Crop Market Summits Offer Best Independent Intelligence
Grain producers and buyers across the country will have a unique opportunity to gain the best, most independent information and advice on 2013/14 market prospects at one of three specialist global crop market summits this November.
Keynote speaker at the summits organised by Agrii will be inspirational world agricultural trade expert, Dan Basse from Chicago who accurately forecast this season’s major new crop price gains well ahead of other commentators at Cereals 2012.
His informed analysis and up-to-the-minute assessment of the prospects for key crop markets in the year ahead will be ably complemented by guidance from leading UK specialists from HSBC, Glencore Grain and commodities dealer, Jefferies Bache.
“As all who heard him predict the 2012/13 cereals and oilseed rape market prospects with such accuracy at our Cereals seminar in June will agree, Dan Basse is essential listening for anyone keen to chart the best possible path through today’s highly volatile marketplace,” stresses summit organiser, Agrii regional general manager, Simon Hayes.
“The world-leading advisory business he founded and runs – AgResource – has its finger firmly on the pulse of global food trade, providing valued market analysis and intelligence to governments, organisations and farmers around the world. As he proved at Cereals, his team’s understanding of the fundamental drivers of today’s world markets is second to none. And, most importantly, as a farmer himself he tells it exactly as he sees it, free from any commercial bias.
“This commitment to thorough research and the best technical advice matches the Agrii approach so completely that we are actively collaborating with Dan as part of a developing programme to provide the UK crop industry with the best, unbiased market as well as agronomic intelligence. Responding to requests from customers across the country, the summits are first part of this programme, giving more people a more in-depth opportunity to profit from his knowledge and insight.
“Alongside Dan, we have carefully selected key UK experts with a complementary knowledge of the domestic agricultural economy, food industry requirements and agri-commodity trading to provide what we are confident will be the best-informed independent crop market events of the year,” Simon Hayes adds.
