Crop nutrient planning and recording are required for both of the following Statutory Management Requirements (SMRs): SMR 4: FOOD AND FEED LAW SMR 4 requires that all inputs into crops or livestock are planned, recorded and totally traceable. SMR 1: REDUCE WATER POLLUTION IN NITRATE VULNERABLE ZONES (NVZs) The records required for SMR 1: Reduce water pollution in Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (NVZs), include: ✚ Nitrogen plan. ✚ Livestock N farm loading. ✚ Manure imports / exports. ✚ The N Max limit. ✚ The N Field limit. ✚ Manure storage calculations. ✚ Organic manure spreading risk map. ✚ Good farm records. CROSS COMPLIANCE All aspects of cross compliance covered, from Nitrate Vulnerable Zone regulations to food traceability, soil issues, animal welfare, public rights of way etc. Assistance includes highlighting potential inspection failure points, as well as showing ways to become compliant.
