Useful qualifications and skill sets

Example job roles
There are a variety of different job roles within Agrii Logistics, from warehouse to transport to operations. Below are a handful of example job descriptions and summaries for information purposes.

Scott Ryan – Transport Manager, Dunkirk
Scott joined Agrii in 1998 as a Storeman/ Driver in Kent being responsible for warehouse stock and delivering on time. Moving into a Logistics Support role on 2015 with responsibilities including ordering, stock control, distribution, warehousing and planning, Scott progressed into his current role as Transport Manager. He is now responsible for Transport Management and site Health and Safety, ensuring compliance with all aspects of vehicle and driver rules and regulations in line with government guidelines.
Scott completed the following qualifications with Agrii, helping him to progress to the role he now fulfils:
- Forklift truck driver (Every 5 Years)
- ADR Training (Every 5 Years)
- Emergency First Aid (Every 3Years)
- Certificate of Competence in Transport Management.
- Currently undergoing Class 2 Driver Training.
Mark Haynes – Depot Manager, Bartonfields
Mark joined Agrii from DHL in 2011 as a Site and Operations Manager, responsible for the day to day running of the operations function at the depot. He soon enhanced his qualifications completing a Business Management NVQ through Agrii and that, along with seven and a half years’ experience since, led Mark to where he is now as Depot Manager, sharing his workload over two sites. Mark is responsible for a varied fleet at Bartonfields as well as eight Farm Saved Seed vehicles in Stafford and the nationwide maintenance work of these. Mark enjoys the challenges of working across the two sites and the varied roles that he is required to carry out daily.
Stuart Bryan – Depot Manager, Pocklington
Stuart started as a Delivery Driver in 2001, returned in a Distribution Support role in 2006 and gaining his NSK Storekeepers qualification in 2007 progressed to Depot Manager. His current role encompasses all the support role duties as well as many more learned along the way. The site at Pocklington delivers Chemicals and OSR and in the main season has up to 9 vehicles from 3.5T to 15T delivering all over Yorkshire.
